Difference between Short Column and Long Column
This video describes the difference between short and long column. When the ratio of effective length to the least lateral dimension is greater than 12, then it is known as Long column and when this ratio is less than 12, then it is known as short column. For more details please watch full videos.

Thnkuu sir❤
what structural meaning has R=Le/B?
Helpfull video.thank you
thank you indian man u just saved me
Lapping zone in 4/8" and 6/8 inch and 8/8" are ?
What if material stress value at ultimate strength is same as yield strength point, does that mean 0 Factor of Safety?
How can force per unit length be height ?
I favorite this Big life working construction company LTD 💪 I can adding my power to promote our country 🇬🇦
Sir if 2 different dia bars used, which dia should be considered for overlapping length? Also what is that tension region and why overlapping not allowed there ? Pls explain above 2 questions
Isn't 250 kN? Because the conversion is wrong

Thank you sir ❤❤❤
You are welcome 🙂🙂
Nice Information Sir
Thanks
First comment for, good information ❤
Thanks a lot
This is what I will ask as well.
Eright moisture content helps compaction
Why we 50 more loads dirt you losse 22%un compaction
Thank you sir
👍👍
this is a strange way to do it, it appears wrong if you run it through a simulation like beamguru
😮
Can we consider bending stress as shear stress?
Thanks it is good for refreshing our brain
It's my pleasure
l/20 where 20 is in inches or meters
No Earthquake resistances provided? And No expansion joint in slab and asphalt layers why ? ... Please make a detail vedio and accurate, so learner couldn't get confuse. However it was a great work 😃 tnk u
Bending moment diagram is wrong
speak english
clear and concise 👍
Thanks
Thanks for explaining the types of cracks and places of occurance. But what is the solution to strengthen at such places of cracks? In a recent incident I did observe that the 2 main rods of the beam were cut off Abou 1.5 feet frm the column.(To mount an A.C.installatio hole was dilled.due to that the main rods were cut off) Now how to safe gaurd the beam and eventually the structure. The residential building is G+2. can you pl .give solution?
sir u are so freaking good please do more contains which is related to soil mechanics and geo tech I really need to understand before I do master degree ! Wish U all the best
Sure I will
@@civilengineering94 appreciate!
Sir flat slab is similar to two way slab??
Its can be one way or two way
@@discovern431 reinforcement details are same?
Thanks sir, very helpfull
Most welcome
Clearly you fully understand the topic as the visual drawings are great. Although, I struggled to understand a few names at key points. I appreciate that teaching in a second language is no easy thing. Would love to have understood more (Y)
Thank you so much 😊
You're welcome 😊
SIr u are the best I took a whole year and paid for private and still don't understand and glad to find your channel
Very helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
You should have shown the shuttering
How many types of toughness are there?
No deck pans?
You had a mistake bro, Gamma D ka formula Ysat÷1+w nahi hai yb÷1+w hai. but in this case you don't have (Yb) that's why you should take YD=G.yw÷1+e.
But how do you come up with the constant 48?
Simply fantastic and so easy to understand, Excellent presentation. The stirrups spacing near the columns should be 150 mm and in the middle 300 mm maximum. 500 mm throughout is too much
Glad it was helpful!
This clears up my confusion regarding the types of slabs, thanks.
I have a question... #3 represents 10 mm dia bar... If we covert it into inch then we found = 0.394 inch Then the area is = 0.1217 inch square.... What should we take?????
Thanks
